Questions & Answers on Labor Reform (Part 2)

Post by nusaibatara »

Several months after the entry into force of the labor reform, approved in September 2010, we have sufficient perspective to confirm that there are significant questions about whether the objectives proposed by the new regulations will be achieved.

The report, prepared by the Legal-Tax buy phone number list Commission and the Commission on People Management of the Spanish Association of Executives (ADE), seeks to provide an analysis of the impact of the labor reform, specifically targeting executives, a group that, due to their role in the company, plays a key role in shaping the labor framework.

The preamble to Law 35/2010 of September 17, on urgent measures for labor market reform, states that the level of unemployment suffered by the Spanish population represents "an unacceptable burden... on the economic development... of our country," and defines the "fundamental ultimate objective" as "recovering the path of job creation."

Given this principle, AED asks whether the standard is, in spirit and form, consistent with its stated purpose, a reflection that has focused on three questions:

- Does it lay the groundwork for economic development?
- Will it facilitate sustainable job creation?
- Does it enhance the productivity of our businesses?

Beyond these final reflections, they wanted to indicate, from a more technical perspective and in a simple and practical way, the legal implications of the change.
